THE CHALLENGE

team5pm already had a skilled marketing team executing great work, but they needed a clearer strategic foundation to align and enhance their efforts. With multiple marketing initiatives running —events, awards, paid media, social media, client and partner engagement, employee advocacy, and website content— key marketing challenges involved how to…

  • assess current gaps;

  • provide actionable and creative ideas, and;

  • bring all the initiatives together into one cohesive, long-term plan.

My role was to provide strategic direction and actionable plans to help their core team better connect the dots across channels and execute more effectively. Beyond structure, I also developed specific and scalable campaign ideas aligned with their business goals. These weren’t just theoretical recommendations, but achievable and results-driven initiatives designed to strengthen engagement, brand positioning, and growth across their key marketing channels.

MY APPROACH

To build a strategy tailored to team5pm’s needs, my approach involved:

  • Conducting interviews with key stakeholders to understand challenges, goals, and priorities.

  • Analyzing existing materials, audience insights, competitors, and market trends to identify gaps and opportunities.

  • Leading discovery meetings and feedback sessions to refine the strategy in collaboration with their team.

  • Ensuring alignment with leadership through a final presentation to management, where the strategy was well received.

  • Delivering a handover session, making sure the core marketing team had the knowledge and tools to execute independent of me.
